The Miracle Worker. After considering bunion surgery for decades, I chose to have the supremely anxiety-quelling, uber-talented Stuart Mogul MD do both feet at once in Manhattan. I am SO pleased with not only the amazing results (that’s the miracle part) but the process (the worker part). I still can’t believe my feet are no longer deformed. He assured me the pain and recovery would not match my horrific expectations, and he was right. I set myself up for recovery (3 hours from NYC) and it went exactly as he said it would. I just followed his directions. His office staff is so empathetic, understanding and competent. And he stays on schedule. I learned of Dr Mogul after doing extensive research to find a foot surgeon to take care of my bunions 6 years ago. If you are worried or nervous about having surgery, Dr Mogul has almost 3 decades worth of experience to lay your head on. If you’re looking for a good doctor, he’s your guy. He cares about his patients and follows up after surgery to ensure that you are recovering well. I was very surprised when he called the following day to see how I was doing. I had little to no pain during my recovery and he did an amazing job hiding my incisions and closing them so that the scarring is minimal. To date, people do not notice my scar unless I show them. Best of all, I no longer have pain or a bulge in my shoe from bunions and I have him to thank for that.
